Necco Celebrates All-Star Corporate Culture

Celebrating an All Star Culture

The Goering Center, an affiliate of The University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business, serves to educate and guide family and private businesses to grow their companies. Sixteen years ago, founder, John Goering, created a mechanism for celebrating these businesses and the Goering Family and Private Business Awards were born. Each year, the Center focuses on a theme for the awards that encompasses Goering's theories on the best family and private businesses. This year's theme was "Creating an All Star Culture".

Necco submitted a nomination to share with others how we do what we do: build families.

After reviewing over 550 nominations, Goering announced Necco as a finalist in the Private Business 16-49 years category. In July, we gathered with 74 other finalists at the Lexus RiverCenter to share on a more intimate level what we do. It was an honor to be in an awards ceremony which celebrated past winners such as Buddy LaRosa of LaRosa's pizza.

On August 25, fifteen Necco representatives attended Goering's 2015 Family and Private Business Awards held at Cincinnati's Music Hall Ballroom. We traded in our t-shirts, sneakers and jeans for dresses, heels, suits and ties. Our name, our brand was listed on the big screen amongst businesses large and small, seasoned and start-ups.

Although we did not take home the award, it was a honor to attend the prestigious event and be recognized with other valuable community businesses.
