Child Abuse Awareness Month

Stand Up Against Child Abuse

The month of April was busy for all of our locations.  April is Child Abuse Awareness month and all of Necco's teams took part in local events aimed at stopping child abuse.  Child abuse is a national crisis that affects innocent lives.  April is aimed at raising awareness of this issue so that together we can all play a role in making our communities better places for children and families.  By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children.  By helping to promote social and emotional well-being and prevent maltreatment within families and communities we can all make a stand against abuse.

Necco of Owensboro promoted the need for foster and adoptive parents by participating in their local Stand Against Child Abuse event.  The Necco team handed out helpful resources, information about foster parenting, and lots of cotton candy to all those who stopped by their booth.
